Dr. Nagele and his team have spent almost ten years studying the blood of Alzheimer's patients and have identified ten autoantibodies that are biomarkers forAlzheimer's. The blood test developed by the team can diagnose the disease in individuals and also possibly detect the disease before symptoms appear, making early therapeutic intervention possible.

On October 14th, a group of second-year medical students participated in the National Latino AIDS Awareness Day at the Spanish Community Center in Atlantic City, NJ. The students designed a booth to educate attendees about STDs and sexual health, given the disproportionately high prevalence of STDs within Atlantic County's Latino population. The booth featured a series of stations that included information about symptoms of STDs and prevention tips. Participants were also directed to a new website that provides a personalized report on health screening tests tailored specifically to an individual.
