General Degree Requirements
Ph.D. – 40 credits of course work
with a grade point average of “B” or
better. Successful completion of a Qualifying
Examination. Original laboratory research culminating
in a written Thesis acceptable to an advisory
committee and the graduate school.

MPI - 25 credits of coursework, 5 credits of thesis reseach and maintain
a
“B” average.

MBS - 30 credits of coursework and maintain

“B” average.
Core courses for Master of Biomedical Science Program students:
1. Fundamentals in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology I (3 credits)
2. Fundamentals in Cell Biology II (3 credits)
3. Fundamentals in Systems Biology III (3 credits)
4. Seminar in Biomedical Science (3 credits)
Certificate of Biomedical Sciences - 18 credits of coursework and maintain a 3.00 or better grade point average.
Required courses for Certificate students:
1. Fundamentals in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology I (3 credits)
