UMDNJ/SOM Department of Psychiatry is interested in speaking with you regarding psychiatric careers in Southern New Jersey. We are an academic department with a mission dedicated to education, practice and research. Our faculty consists of over 30 Psychiatrists, 10 Advanced Practice Psychiatric Nurses and two Psychologists. We are one of the largest providers of adult and child psychiatric services in five South Jersey counties, six hospitals and 14 different community organizations.
Our Department is based in Cherry Hill, NJ. We are conveniently located within 15 minutes of Philadelphia while New York, Baltimore and Washington DC are all within 2 hours. Our diverse community, along with many others in South Jersey, has excellent primary and secondary education systems. The proximity to urban environments provides a rich source of cultural opportunities while our easy access to shore beaches (45 minutes) and the Pocono Mountains (2 hours) offers great recreational opportunities.
