The University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey School of Osteopathic Medicine is committed to educating physicians to handle the evolving health care landscape. In response to participant evaluations from previous activities, this knowledge-based lecture series is designed to enhance physician competence through both providing content on contemporary topic areas with cutting edge information. Geriatrics, Pain Management, Cardiology & Transgenerational Nutrition, Gastroenterology/Oncology/Vascular Surgery, Psychiatry, Palliative Care, and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine, are the focused educational blocks. Faculty presenting were selected based on their comprehensive experience, academic research, and clinical excellence in their respective fields. This conference will gather a prestigious group of physicians to learn practical, clinical information on preventive strategies, therapeutic protocols, and research advances in each of the selected topics areas.

MRAP Course
Mini Residency in Appropriate Prescribing
The course was started at the request of the New Jersey State Board of Medical Examiners in 1981. It is a remedial education course for doctors who have been sanctioned by their licensing agencies for inappropriate prescribing of controlled substances. It is also a primer for basic education in pain management and substance abuse for healthcare providers who prescribe DEA approved controlled substances.
