The Mission of Academic Affairs is to "Promote and Facilitate Academic Excellence and Lifelong Learning."

To complete this mission, the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs is responsible for oversight of the curriculum and coordinates the comprehensive medical education program. Student-related services provided through the Department include:

Supporting the functions of the Curriculum Committee.
Developing new curricular innovations.
Coordinating class and examination scheduling.
Working with faculty and students on matters related to curriculum, tests, instructional materials, and related educational matters.
Coordinating and scheduling student rotations through the affiliated hospital system and other medical care facilities.
Evaluating the educational program, faculty and students.
Providing Continuing Medical Education for practicing clinicians.

The Office of Academic Affairs is responsible for:

Coordinating academic matters for course and clerkship directors, including class/clerkship schedules, exam scheduling and grading, and the evaluation process.
Producing Dean's Letters
Assistance with Electronic Residency Application Service
Student mailboxes and lockers
Scheduling visiting student rotations
