Our residents become part of the Department of Family Medicine and join our proud traditions of health promotion, research, education and community service.

The Residency Program seeks to broaden the scope of knowledge from the medical school curriculum to both inpatient and outpatient clinical practice of medicine. The program is structurally committed to educating physicians in all aspects of family medicine, whose training and experience qualifies him/her to practice in the fields of medicine and surgery and to accept the total continuing responsibility of the patient and/or the family as a whole.

This program went through the ACOFP inspection in March, 2005 and received a four-year approval which is the highest approval year rating one can receive.
