Residency Programs

The Combined Rotating Internship/Family Practice Residency is a three-year program designed to prepare you for a career in family medicine.  You will receive training in many specialties, from pediatrics to geriatrics that will prepare you to treat patients of all ages as a family practice physician.  Your residency will include hands-on experience at both Christ Hospital and the North Hudson Community Action Corporation Health Center, our on-site family care center, where you’ll work with our physicians in providing a full continuum of outpatient care.  Through your presence at the North Hudson Community Action Corporation Health Center, you will also receive thorough training in the business aspects of running a private practice.  Your residency will also include hands-on training at affiliated institutions such as University Hospital in Newark and Hackensack University Medical Center in Hackensack.

The Family Practice Residency is a three-year program that will prepare you for the medical and business aspects of a career in family medicine.  As a family doctor, you will rely on broad-based medical knowledge to help treat illnesses and provide preventive care for your patients.  As a resident at Christ Hospital, you will receive on-on-one training from our dedicated faculty in the wide variety of specialties you will use in family medicine, including internal medicine, ob/gyn, pediatrics, orthopedics, emergency medicine, dermatology, urology, ophthalmology and otolaryngology.

Under the guidance of our faculty, you will hone your skills in osteopathic manipulation at the North Hudson Community Action Corporation Health Center, an on-site family care center providing outpatient care to patients of all ages.  During the second and third years of your residency, you will spend increasing amounts of time there, dealing with patients and learning about all of the business aspects of running a family practice center.  Your residency will also include hands-on training at Christ Hospital, as well as at affiliated institutions such as University Hospital in Newark and Hackensack University Medical Center in Hackensack.
