Internship/Residency Programs at
Christ Hospital
Conferences and Didactics
There are many opportunities for didactic learning in the Family Practice Residency Program at Christ Hospital.
Morning Report
Morning report conferences are held daily, and are designed to provide care-based learning in a relaxed environment. Family practice residents, interns and all students at Christ Hospital rotations participate in developing presentation skills as well as diagnosis and management of common and unusual disease processes. Evaluation of laboratory values, EKG’s and x-rays provides an integrated approach to patient care.
Noon Conference Series
Daily didactic teaching is provided at noon for all interns, residents and students. Experts in a wide variety of subspecialties provide up-to-date epidemiologic, diagnostic, and management information for diseases in all body systems. There are seven conference series, including: OMT, Psychosocial Aspect of Medicine, Complimentary Medicine, Rheumatology, Dermatology, Ophthalmology, Pediatric Surgery and Practice Management.
Grand Rounds
Weekly Grand Rounds are provided by Christ Hospital for all attending physicians, residents, interns and students. Medical experts from all over the country provide formal lectures, and Type 1 CME credit is available for all physicians.
In addition to the didactic learning activities provided by the hospital and the Department of Family Practice, residents and interns participate in lectures and other programs provided by the departments in which they are rotating.
