Internship/Residency Programs at
Christ Hospital
Welcome to the Family Practice Residency Program at Christ Hospital. The three educational programs for osteopathic physicians offer you the opportunity to train with experienced doctors in a dynamic environment. Our diverse patient population will prepare you to deal with almost any circumstance you may encounter later in your career.
The Combined Rotating Internship/Family Practice Residency is a three-year program designed to prepare you for a career in family medicine. You will receive training in many specialties, from pediatrics to geriatrics that will prepare you to treat patients of all ages as a family practice physician. Your residency will include hands-on experience at both Christ Hospital and the North Hudson Community Action Corporation Health Center, our on-site family care center, where you’ll work with our physicians in providing a full continuum of outpatient care. Through your presence at the North Hudson Community Action Corporation Health Center, you will also receive thorough training in the business aspects of running a private practice. Your residency will also include hands-on training at affiliated institutions such as University Hospital in Newark and Hackensack University Medical Center in Hackensack.
As a Christ Hospital resident, you’ll receive on-on-one training from a highly-qualified, experienced faculty. Their enthusiastic approach to teaching and the friendly environment at Christ Hospital combine to create an exciting learning experience for our residents. Our residency program is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association and is part of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey-School of Osteopathic Medicine (UMDNJ-SOM).
We look forward to having you join the talented, enthusiastic residents at Christ Hospital.
