Continuing Medical Education (CME) at the School of Osteopathic Medicine is undergoing a dynamic conversion. Major new initiatives include national programs directed to primary care providers that have educational needs related to "Geriatric Medicine" and "Global Cardiovascular Risk Assessment and Management", (recently described as the "Metabolic Syndrome"). Additional activities are being developed for Pain and Headache Management and HIV/AIDS related clinical conditions that has an emphasis on co-morbid diseases of patients that are becoming chronically ill. These subjects have been selected because there is evidence of educational need. UMDNJ has clinical experts in these areas who serve as program directors and faculty for these educational activities. Programs are conducted in and around UMDNJ campuses serving as practice builders, and in select cities around the country that have heavy concentrations of Osteopathic and primary care physicians. For more information about our programs please view the CME Calendar.
