Post-doctoral
positions available:
Post-doctoral position available
focusing on translational
neuroscience. We are undertaking translational
studies to develop novel gene and cell reagents
for human application and are currently conducting
the first trial of AAV gene transfer to the human
brain for a neurodegenerative disorder. Applicants
should preferably have background experience in
at least one of the following areas: gene transfer/therapy;
neuroscience; stem cell biology, with specialized
skills in small animal surgery and behaviour; cell
culture; cellular and
molecular
biology;
histopathology and immunochemistry. Research responsibilities
will involve the analysis of disease
processes
and intervention
strategies at both the cellular/molecular and whole
animal levels. The ability to independently interpret
and communicate experimental data is emphasized.
Competitive
salary in the range of $30,000 - 37,000 (based on
skills and experience), with an opportunity for
career advancement. We have
a collegial atmosphere and collaborate with other
researchers worldwide. The Robert Wood Johnson Medical
School campus is
located
adjacent
to the Coriell Institute in Camden, within the
greater Philadelphia region.
Clinical
Coordinator position available:
The candidate should be experienced in the administration
of clinical trials, including at least one year's
experience
as a coordinator. The candidate will be responsible
for coordination of research projects, development
and
maintenance of comprehensive databases for the research
projects and clinical program, preliminary statistical
analysis,
and coordination of the day-to-day functions. The successful
candidate will prepare IRB, IBC and FDA submissions
with guidance from the principal investigators. Recruitment
of patients for clinical trials and follow up of patients
enrolled in studies will be a major responsibility.
